The Executive Performance Journal (EPJ) is the first performance journal in a series of executive journals by Dr. Mario D. Wallace. The goal of this series is to increase the depth of knowledge and application of theoretical constructs for executive leaders. This journal focuses on helping leaders master strategy management. Most leaders might have exceptional gravitas, effective communication, and an impeccable appearance. These three key leadership qualities are essential and required for executive leadership. But in today’s hypercompetitive business environment, executive leaders must also possess a strong acumen for strategy management. Executive leaders must have foresight; create competitive short- and long-term strategic plans, align plans to business units and employees, mobilize resources (i.e., human capital, technological capital, and financial capital), execute a strategic plan, and manage a strategic plan accordingly. This EPJ is immensely practical. This EPJ walks executive leaders through a step-by-step process of the ADEM Strategy Management Model (ADEM model) where they learn how to apply the four phases of the ADEM model including all the elements. Using brief introductions for each phase and element descriptions including exercises that support each element, executive leaders can learn the full cycle of strategy management.
